Living at Acton has been a phenomenal experience overall. The building's beauty stands out and the sense of security in this part of Berkeley is unmatched. The maintenance team deserves a shoutout for their swift and friendly service, keeping the building in top-notch condition. On top of that, the rooftop view is nothing short of lovely, making it a perfect spot to unwind.
The office staff, especially Anna Keesling, have gone above and beyond to ensure a smooth rental experience. From managing apartment paperwork to day-to-day interactions, Anna has been a delight to work with. Her dedication and helpful nature, alongside Andrea and Milinda, make every visit to the office a positive one. It's reassuring to have such a supportive team just a call or visit away.
I must say, the building is impeccably maintained, and the neighborhood feels incredibly safe. It's conveniently located close to everything, which makes daily life so much easier. The staff have done a splendid job keeping the premises clean and welcoming. Moving in was a breeze, thanks to the efficient work of Nakia and the team.
The staff here is commendable for their helpful and friendly demeanor. It’s a relief to know that the people managing your home are both efficient and approachable. The move-in process was seamless, and it's clear that the staff, particularly Nakia, are committed to making residents feel at home. It's comforting to have such a reliable support system within the apartment community.
The experience of living here has been marred by numerous issues. Upon moving in, I was greeted with a litany of problems ranging from fire alarms missing to a large burn in the carpet. Despite prompt reporting and service requests, the resolution of these issues took an unacceptably long time, with some being outright ignored. Moreover, the audacity to charge for carpet cleaning when the existing issues were so severe is baffling.
Dealing with the management has been nothing short of a nightmare. Not only did they overcharge on rent in violation of rent control limits, but they also displayed a lack of transparency and accountability when caught. The staff, including the maintenance manager Tyler Rego, failed to provide timely assistance or follow through on their promises, such as maintaining surveillance for the bike cage. The entire ordeal of rent discrepancies and the lack of effective communication has been incredibly frustrating.
